PhD Candidate at McMaster Divinity College; research area: Biblical theology of the Old Testament in the context of the Middle East and North Africa, with research focusing on the intersection of the Biblical texts and the Qur’an, with emphasis on the book of Jonah.


Emad is married to Almess Yousif, and they have two boys Timothy and Nathaniel. After Emad and Almess graduated from ABTS, they established their pastoral ministry in Egypt for about two years, and then they moved to Canada. While in Canada, Emad joined the mission field to minister among Arab immigrants, worked in the field of social service particularly with individuals with disability, and finished his Master of Art in Christian Theology and currently working toward his Ph.D. at McMaster Divinity College.

Emad enjoys teaching about the Old Testament as well as mentoring students. In addition to his academic ministry and interest, Emad is very passionate about ministering to individuals with disability. In his free time, Emad enjoys reading, playing soccer and drums.
