Bio
In addition to teaching at ABTS, Wess is a missiologist involved in research and leadership development for ministries serving in the Middle East and North Africa. His doctoral dissertation was an in-depth qualitative study of the faith journeys of 50 followers of Christ in the Arab world. Living in multiple countries in the region since 2006, Wess and his family have served in a variety of roles, including discipleship, community development, and relief work with refugees.

Wess has published under a pseudonym on the topic of missiology and Islam in journals such as Evangelical Missions Quarterly, International Journal of Frontier Missiology, and Global Missiology. He has also published an edited volume with William Carey Publishing.
